A homeopathic consultation is a little different from a medical appointment. Prior to your first visit you will be sent a detailed information sheet for you to complete and return to the homeopath before you are seen. This will free up additional time during your consultation. The information sheet will ask for details regarding what issues lead you to seek treatment, your medical history complete with any medications you have previously or are currently taking. You will also be asked about your personality, likes, dislikes and interests. This information provides an excellent starting point for the clinician.

Your initial appointment will last approximately 90 minutes. You will be asked to describe, not only your presenting condition, but everything and anything about yourself which you feel is pertinent to your overall condition. This is your time to talk, and the time for me to listen! As homeopathy treats "dis-ease" in the context of the whole person, I like to learn all about what makes you tick as an individual. Whether you come with physical concerns like a skin condition such as eczema or vitiligo, alopecia, or digestive issues, hay fever or vertigo, or emotional issues like anxiety or depression, these will all be considered in the context of “you”. Homeopathy aims to get the individual back in balance, so that the associated conditions can clear. Working with the “whole person” takes time. I’m sure we wouldn’t expect our GP to cure our eczema, hay fever and menopausal issues in one appointment. Similarly, whilst homeopathy works in a multimodality way, follow up appointments are usually required. If you would like to purchase a package of care in advance at a reduced price, please ask.

All information will be treated in the strictest confidence, unless you agree to allowing your information being discussed anonymously with other clinicians where deemed helpful. At the end of your session, you may be given a remedy to take, or one may be sent to you within the next 2-3 working days. You will be given full information on when and how to take the remedy.

Should you attend for a sleep consultation, the initial session will take longer (around 2 hours). The additional time allows for us to cover your sleep issues in adequate depth, alongside the homeopathic consultation.
